At Söderberg Wines our interest is to make the best Marlborough Pinot Noir that our vineyard and we can produce.
The soul of the wine is the vineyard – at the foot of the Dry Hills, only 1.1 hectare, planted in European style that allows only hand tending of the 10 year old vines. We use only 100% organic methods in raising the deep purple, small bunch grapes.
Söderberg Home Block
Single Vineyard Pinot Noir
Our Home Block Single Vineyard Pinot Noir is the only wine in our portfolio that we bottle exclusively under our Söderberg Wines label. For each vintage we source grapes from only our top clones which, depending on the vintage, produce no more than 115-300 cases of our fine wine – and that is all. We uniquely number each bottle – as every bottle is special.
Tasting Notes.
An elegant and quietly complex Pinot Noir, rich red berry colour with leading cherry and then plum notes. Silky tannins linger pleasantly on the palate.
Versatile with a firm spine for enjoying either with or without food. Traditional European style Marlborough Pinot Noir.

Marlborough Traditionelle 2015
The grapes for our Sparkling Pinot Noir are from our family Vineyard at the foot of the Wither Hills. Our 1.1 ha vineyard is BioGro organic certified (BG5311). The Sparkling Pinot Noir was made from clones 667 and 777.
In 2015, the vineyard was frosted, but we salvaged the best fruit to make a methode traditionelle Pinot Noir with winemakers Hugh Girling of Sugar Loaf winery and Lee Dobson of No. 1 Family Estate. The wine is a refreshing, dry rosé style.
Rouge Fete or Red Celebration can be described as a dry sparkling rose. The colour, aroma and flavours are light and delicate. It is refreshing, clean and an aperitif style sparkling wine.
Tasting Notes.
Light cerise-pink colour with some depth and pale purple hues on the rim, the bead very fine and persistent. The nose is very delicate with a fine, tight core of red cherry fruit with subtle notes of dark herbs. Dry to taste and the mouthfeel is fresh and flows with underlying creamy effervescence.
Serve as an aperitif and with antipasto over the next 2 years.
